  1. Heather M. Sands says:

My grandfather was a de Carterette on my mom’s side. She told me about Sir George & Philip. But I would like find more about his family down to them!

  2. Pauline Bird says:

Even though Sark is a small island the De Carterett’s have moved around the globe (a lot). Even though I have been doing my family tree for a while this branch of the family is proving to be difficult. Having said this they originate from Normanby, then move onto Jersey, then Sark and then Guernsey and around the Globe. The spelling of the name changes throughout the centuries making them harder to find. For the main line go to http://www.theislandwiki.org, although, some of the information on this site differs from the millennium files (also worth looking at) it appears to be mainly accurate and some of the differences from the millennium files make more sense. Good luck
