    • Hello Jennifer,
My husband’s mother’s line on Sark is similar to yours in that she was a descendant of Elie Hamon and Olive de Carteret through their son Samuel m Ann Le Feuvre. This line lived at Du Vallerie, Little Sark until recent times.
Are you familiar with family history “The Hamons of Milton – a family history of migrants from Sark in the 1850’s” by B V Hamon, published 1997? Milton is in NSW. Would like to hear from you if you are interested in sharing information.
      Kind regards, Margaret Torode

      Hello Jennifer,
Would be interested in getting in touch with you. Found your note on the decarteret.org.uk responses about the Sark Family Tree.
I am descended also from Judith Baker who married Thomas Day whose son Thomas married Susanne Renouf and their son James came to Australia in 1852. Of course I also go back to Phillippe De Carteret.
I live in Kiama on south coast of NSW Australia. Do you have an email address.

    • Andrew Day says:

I am Andrew George Day. My grandfather was George Clement Day, a brother of Charles James Day. I think Charles had two sons (your uncles) but am wondering if either or both of them had any male children. I have always believed that I am the last of the Day line, ie carrying the Day name. Would like to make contact. George Clement died in 1970, and my father Clement Jackson Day died in 1985. I don’t recall either of them having had contact with Charles but do remember mention of “Charlie Day of Tatura”
